Is there a limit of 50 esteemed elders in Virtual Villagers The Lost Children? I have a couple of villagers who have mastery level skill in 3 areas, but they have not become esteemed elders yet. I currently have exactly 50 esteemed elders.

Yes, 50 is the limit but there is an event that can make you have more than that. And it can happen more than once.
