[CONTAINS SPOILERS] Missing Bugs

I'm trying to catch all the bugs and I'm only missing 2 - the bottom left jar (on the book) and the top middle jar (just to the right of the vertical wooden beam).
Does anyone know the names of these bugs and/or how to get them to appear?
I know why some bugs appear or don't appear, but I haven't figured out the trick for these two. (I'd be happy to post the tricks I've learned, but I don't want to put out spoilers too soon.)

Yeah, but those two particular bugs don't seem to want to show up.
Unless they're interested in only a VERY specific plant. I've tried one of each type, but not every combination (if you know what I mean.)

Just keep cross-pollinating and keep and eye out for bugs, you are sure to find them eventually.

If it's any consolation I haven't got either of those bugs, as well. I have 43, so I need another five. Not helping much, I know ...

I recently completed a breeding project that produced a complete set of the "middle" plants (if you graph out all the plants, then draw a line diagonally between the two plants that can't be bred, those are the "middle" plants.) If your cross-pollinate two middle plants you get another middle plant.
Anyway, this gives me 23 plants that represent every foliage and flower.
However, I haven't seen those two bugs, so either I've just been unlucky or they want a specific plant - specific flower AND foliage.
That's what I'm trying to find out, if anyone knows. The name of the bugs might shed some light on what they like. If someone knows this, but needs info on another _bug_ (I've got the other 46) I can probably help.

The _bug_ on the book in the bottom left corner ( under the row of butterflies) is the rare Jet Moth. I remember getting it when I had the nox orchid out, or at least that was the plant it landed on. Hope that helps!

Leidy - thanks, I'll try that.
Kasey323 - I've got 46 of the bugs, so it's easier to describe the locations of the two I don't have rather than to list all the ones I do have.

The one on the top is the rare Shiny Flower Beetle. I have actually gotten that a lot recently, but I haven't really been paying too much attention to which plant it likes. I'ts a very pretty buggy. And, if it helps....it has the same foliage in its jar as the uncommon Zebra Beetle. (btw: I only have 39 of the 48 bugs so far. I've been concentrating on making some money to trick out my shop----now its got EVERYTHING!) Oooh! Make that 40 of 48. I just got the rare Jet Moth too---and do NOT have the Nox Orchid right now. Must have liked one of the new seeds that just bloomed because I have been breeding the same few plants for a while and haven't seen him. Unfortunately, I just planted SEVERAL new seeds and do not know which it is. I will try to pay attention when I sell some plants and see if it shows up again.

I just tried to recreate what I had when I got the Jet Moth, so I did Nox Orchid, Nox Ananas, and Nox Pipe Cactus. I've had three of them show up so far.

Jet = black Nox = night = black. I wonder?

Does the Shiny Flower Beetle look like any of the flower types?
Just theorizing here, but many bugs are named after the type of foliage they use for camouflage.
There's a _bug_ that looks a bit like a Baccatus flower, but I don't believe it's actually linked to that flower. It just got me thinking.

The one on the bottom on top of the books is NOT a "rare Jet Moth." It's an uncommon amber butterfly. The one above THAT (with a space in the middle)is a common Black Moth. At least, on my _bug_ screen it it Happy hunting!

That jar does contain a rare Jet Moth. (At least in one of my games. In the other is is the only one I'm missing.)

I have all bugs except for one. The bottom far right on the pedestal. I'm guessing it's a spider. Does anyone know the name/color of the _bug_ I need? I'll gladly reply with any other bugs people may be missing.

I just got the shiny flower beetle and here is a partial list of the flowers in my greenhouse: jalapa lemonbush nox orchid rosaceae orchid mystic orchid viola orchid nox astera
There was at least one other plant in my greenhouse that hadn't produced buds/flowers so I am not sure if it is the "special plant" or not

okay I just went back and read the other posts and pp miniflowers had suggested looking at the foliage in the jar with the bugs. The shiny beetle in in a jar with gladiatus foliage (I think) of course I didn't have any of those in my greenhouse, but some of the flowers I did have were crosses bred from a gladiatus. Hmmmm interesting

There was at least one other plant in my greenhouse that hadn't produced buds/flowers so I am not sure if it is the "special plant" or not I found that one by luck. it says uncommon but it was harder to find than some of the rare ones.

RARE shiny flower beetle = Tier 3 Flowers on Orchids.
It worked for me! ^_^ i'm trying to breed all the different orchids and i had different ones with tier 1, 2, and 3 flowers. i went to the nursery to do some selling, and when i came back, the shiny flower beetle came creeping out from behind one of my orchids. two more bugs to go!
