I found this link that can convert any document into pdf format. I know there are some people who do not have excel, word, etc. It is free as long as you don't mind their sponsor advertisement popping up into your browser. All you have to do is type up your doc, and instead of saving it, just hit the print command and select the PDF printer.

I haven't used it yet. Still working on a doc to convert.

I figured this might help out others.

here's the link:

On Windows, I use Quo Vadis PDF . It was a pain to configure, but it's worked perfectly since then. I see there's a new version, so I'll have to check that out.

This is built into the Mac OS operating system, so nothing needed there.

I am always converting files to PDF for work (don't want clients altering their tax returns while reviewing them) and I use CutePDF. It's free, no ads, no configuration. Really simply program and completely flawless.

You can download it at http://www.cutepdf.com/

Thanks for all the software info. I am finally going back to College after 20 years of Tech and Administrative work I got tired of being paid small bucks for big jobs. My last job my Tech Boss was asking me questions on how to do certain things! He made 170/hour and I was making 9 b/c I did not have my degree. So I made my way back to school. I am always on the lookout for cool freeware. My latest is VMWare Server - it runs on about 4 Gigs (I know alot of mem!) BUT here's the clincher it's a Virtual Server! I have 4 Operating Systems running on it including all my LDW games and it is flawless.

I'm all about the freeware, like Open Office. Exactly like Microsoft Office only it doesn't cost $350.00.

Our company is related to a worldwide Computer Service company so I've made many friends with a whole lot of computer nerds. I get a lot of great ideas from them. Most of my system is freeware (true freeware, I'll never pirate software), with the exception of my games but Big Fish prices rule all anyway, so they don't cost much.
