I pruned off the flower when it was about 60, bad idea. I'm selling it for 10, original price 12.

I'd trash it. It won't sell without the flower.

It happens sometimes with low rarity plants. I had a Fourpetal Ball Cactus that I kept until the 250s, and it just would not sell. I tried cutting the price in half and selling it both with large groups and by itself. I eventually cut off the flowers to see if it had a bad spot, but it didn't have any that I could see. Sometimes a plant just won't sell, so your best bet if it is a low rarity, cheap plant is to just trash it. Higher rarity plants always seem to sell well.

Just trash it.It won't sell once it reaches about 40 or 50 anyway.

I've had older plants sell without problems. Make sure that none of the little bumps on the cactus has died. With a ball cactus they can be difficult to see. If so, prune it. Also, make doubly sure that it is not infested. If the plant still doesn't sell, even after dropping the price a fair bit, just trash it and move on. It's not that we are talking about a $100 plant here!

LOL! I have trashed $100+ plants that wouldn't sell... I've needed the pot in the greenhouse for planned breeding more than the time was worth in adjusting the price, finding that there was nothing less to prune and waiting in the nursery.

It hurts, but some plants just don't sell.

I just started to play the game today, and that's one of the things I've noticed so far...some plants just don't want to sell. They're pruned, priced right, but no one buys them. I don't get it...and its darn annoying!

I think with the time you waste trying to sell it, you end up losing more because you can't use that pot to grow more.

i do pay attention to the prices given when the seeds are first planted, but always raise them, especially when i have a full greenhouse due for sale at the same time. i get out of full screen and read email for a while and come back to find many plants sold. i go back and lover the price on the rest of the plnts to the given prices, at the time of planting. this seems to be working well and i am selling some at higher prices.

The given prices, though obviously not at the very beginning of the games, are the prices you set the last time you grew a plant of that exact species. Every time me "*******" magic plant grows, it comes up as $130. I slightly change it from time to time of course. You can sell it for more if you use fertilizer too. It makes them really blossom.

9 times out of 10, if you look very closely at those plants, there's something wrong with them. If they've been infested, their "health" may be down. But more commonly you've missed some bit of pruning. One example.. on one variety the leaves kind of stack up on top of each other, and the only way to see some of the dead leaves that have live ones on top, is to move the clippers to "see" the very edge of the above leaf.. if you see the edge light up but not the whole leaf, there's a dead one underneath the live one that must be pruned. Another.. there's a vine where not only the little dead leaves but the dead stem they're on--which is almost invisible--must be pruned. I'm still working on the one out of ten that I can't figure out why they don't sell! Hey, maybe their bad parts are on the other side of the plant! <g>

I agree. Sometimes I need to prune healthy flowers and leaves in order to find the dead leaves. Once I do, the plant easily sells.
