I'd trash it. It won't sell without the flower.

Just trash it.It won't sell once it reaches about 40 or 50 anyway.

I've had older plants sell without problems. Make sure that none of the little bumps on the cactus has died. With a ball cactus they can be difficult to see. If so, prune it. Also, make doubly sure that it is not infested. If the plant still doesn't sell, even after dropping the price a fair bit, just trash it and move on. It's not that we are talking about a $100 plant here!

LOL! I have trashed $100+ plants that wouldn't sell... I've needed the pot in the greenhouse for planned breeding more than the time was worth in adjusting the price, finding that there was nothing less to prune and waiting in the nursery.
It hurts, but some plants just don't sell.

I just started to play the game today, and that's one of the things I've noticed so far...some plants just don't want to sell. They're pruned, priced right, but no one buys them. I don't get it...and its darn annoying!
I think with the time you waste trying to sell it, you end up losing more because you can't use that pot to grow more.

9 times out of 10, if you look very closely at those plants, there's something wrong with them. If they've been infested, their "health" may be down. But more commonly you've missed some bit of pruning. One example.. on one variety the leaves kind of stack up on top of each other, and the only way to see some of the dead leaves that have live ones on top, is to move the clippers to "see" the very edge of the above leaf.. if you see the edge light up but not the whole leaf, there's a dead one underneath the live one that must be pruned. Another.. there's a vine where not only the little dead leaves but the dead stem they're on--which is almost invisible--must be pruned. I'm still working on the one out of ten that I can't figure out why they don't sell! Hey, maybe their bad parts are on the other side of the plant! <g>

I agree. Sometimes I need to prune healthy flowers and leaves in order to find the dead leaves. Once I do, the plant easily sells.
