Customers thought bubbles....are they useful?

Thanks so much for the replies to my other questions, this game is turning out to be quite fun.
My question is, do the customer's thought bubbles in the Nursery mean anything? Some of them are hard to figure out what they are talking about, like a car, what that has to do with my Nursery, I have no idea.
So was just wondering if the thought bubbles provide clues to the what they are seeking or if they are just there for animation.
Thanks!

Some of them seem to be easy to figure out but some are harder. Some make me wonder... I see people with a baby in their thought bubbles. Does that mean they are looking to buy a baby? I think this is the wrong type of nursery to be doing that. Maybe they ought to consult their Webster's Dictionary. LOL

If you watch, you should see the customers thinking about a car leave shortly afterwards. Presumably it's meant to signify that they are going. The baby seems to mean something similar. Perhaps the customer has realised it's time to feed or change the mite, so has to go home.

Here's my two cents, for what it's worth (which according to my mom is about a penny) Plant in pot with frown = you are trying to sell a plant that needs pruning Foundation with ? = customers would like any kind of scenery update, but not necessarily the fountain Empty Pot with ? = Customers wonder why so few plants are for sale Fish = I'm going to buy a fish instead Baby = I left the baby in the car, better go

The broken heart and unbroken heart I always assumed meant the customer wanted to buy something for themselves or a loved one - the idea that the plant they had their heart set on is / isn't available sounds better though.
I've seen customers with a red $ and a frowny face (a lot of those when I had some high prices on my plants and it took a while to sell them). I've seen customers with a green $ and a happy face. Sometimes these appear before the customer even walks into the nursery. I don't know if it means they don't have a lot of money (or they do have plenty of money), or that the price I have on my plants is too much, or a bargain.
Before I bought the fountain I saw a lot of people with frowny faces and a picture of a fountain in their speech bubble. Now they all have the fountain and smiley faces. I've also seen some with pictures of birds, and I figured they were after a bird house. The more things I added to improve the nursery, the more customers came, and the faster I'd sell my plants, generally. But I haven't tracked whether those with frowny faces stayed around very long or not.
It's a pity you can't see which customers bought which plants. I've had plants sell when there's been nobody anywhere close to them, so it's hard to tell.

Actually, if you watch closely, you will see someone walk very quickly up to the plant that just sold, and then go to the cash register. I love the thought bubble when they buy a plant!!

they jump for joy when they purchase it, then they run over and look like they are bowing to the clerk

I've had a picture of a plant with a big red cross next to it - does that mean it's sick and needs first aid?

it is easiest if you do your pruning before the flowers bloom, especially on the ball cactus! once they bloom you end up having to cut off the flowers to get to the dead parts, and then without the flowers it won't sell anyhow!

I think the Bird bubble is actually a Plane, and the customer wants a holiday instead of a plant, so they are leaving.
