[CONTAINS SPOILERS] PIctures of flowers

First I have to say that I absolutely love this game.
I know there is a seed list in the guide section. Is there anyway we can get a flower list also? I'm not talking about what flowers are created from which crossbreads, just pictures of the flowers with their names. I am using the charts from the guide section and I went to mark down one of my crosses, but I can't remember what the flower was for one of the parents.
Thanks bunches.

I don't think anybody has created such a list yet. It is early days yet, and I expect someone is probably working on one at the moment!

I hope everyone is tracking their plants. I am, also one thing I have been doing is taking a picture of my plants, arranged in a way that I remember and giving each position a designation that I use in my charts. That's a wonderful idea. I have my charts set up in tiers, so I can lay them out the same way. Thanks for the tip.

I have some experience with Excel, but have never done pictures. I'm doing a spreadsheet with the same layout but without pictures. How do you extract the pics and load them into the spreadsheet?

Updated list...
I Control + Prnt Scrn Paste that into Paint Save that as a .jpg Open the .jpg in Irfanview Crop as needed Save the cropped image as name of plant Go into Excel and "Insert"/"From file", then browse to file name, "ok"
It seems like a lot reading it, but it only takes a few seconds.
Here's the updated list so far (I found my first magic plant, and that's highlighted, so there's a spoiler....)

Thanks, that sounds simple enough.. except I don't know what Irfanview is.. will I find that out when I'm messing around in Paint?

Irfanview can be said to be a better version of Paint. It's freeware and you can download a copy from http://www.irfanview.net/

Awesome chart!
Just one idea, when you take the pictures, double click on the plant before you do, and take a picture with the plant seed. I have a bunch of seeds, but have no idea what plant each seed produces.

OrangeCrush, you should remember that the same looking seed may produce different plants, but you may also want to check out my Seed Catalog in the Guides section.

You can actually do all of that within Paint.
Just do the Control + Print Screen Paste into Paint working with a single plant at a time, use the "rubber band" selection tool to outline the picture Go Edit -> Copy To name your picture
Paint allows you to save a small part of a larger image as a file, but strangely you don't access it from the File menu.

Thank you, Arnie, I'll download Irfanview and should be able to go to town with PT pics in my spreadsheets And I do like the idea of taking a pic of the seed with the plant, even though the seed type is not unique. Thanks for the Paint instructions too, slh; I'll try that out.

Your chart is amazing. I adapted it for my own use and it's so helpful to me. Since I have all of the upgrades and no problem growing anything, I took out the columns for Soil and Price etc, since I'm not as concerned about that and added a column for pictures of the seeds. That's my biggest problem, looking at a seed and trying to figure out what plant it is. So now, with the help of your chart, I can match the picture of the plant to a picture of the seed and it's name.
So much easier for me for cross-breeding and tracking so Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
You are a genious!

Here is my pictorial record keeper. You will see that plants are down the side and flowers across the top. I have pictures of the plants with example seeds, but remember they do vary for a particuar plant.
I just note here whether or not I have found a plant. If you want to make pictures bigger, you can, but I like this size to keep an easy record of what I am doing, rather than having to scroll through pages and pages of things.

This is the chart that I've been using.
I've found many more plants but wasn't keeping track at first. It's a work in progress, still trying to sort the best order to use for plants and flowers but it really works for me.
Hopefully some of you find it useful. We all have different means to help us win the game, this is the one that works for me.

absolutely amazing, BORG!
I took this and ran with it, sorted the prices list by tier and value from lowest to highest, and then used that order to create a checklist, with the magic plants "boxes" highlighted. If anyone wants it, PM me, and I'll be glad to send it.

OK, I have been send a PM, but don't know how to send attachments, so here is my update.
BORG did such an outstanding job with his charts that I'm using those now, but I'm still updating mine as I go. I've changed his/her price chart around to list plants from lowest value to high, and I created a checklist sheet. Also, since BORG lists his plants along the top and flowers on the side, to keep everything in one format, I have changed my charts to match. (Spent all day doing it, too...)

oh, btw...the "seeding chart" is what I print out to keep track of which plants I plant in which pot, whether I need the seed or just waiting for the product, or cash farming or whatever.
It's 6 sets of 15 pots, and it prints on one page to save paper.

Your archive seems to be empty. I get an "invalid archive" error message when I open it.

Onyxcougar, I also got a bad file. I ignored the bad header msg, and let it extract anyway. When I opened the extracted excel sheet, it was just a bunch of junk characters, no spreadsheet. Could you try to upload it again, please.

Hm...not sure, doing the same thing I did before.
I've taken out the BORG charts that I have *not* modified (tree, plants, foliage, etc.). See if that helps.

I've updated my chart, it now includes all the flowers and foliage (as far as I can tell, I haven't actually found them all yet).
Have fun!

I'm not sure this is quite what you're looking for, or even useful at all, especially at this point (I'm still working on it) but I've been working on a visual grid to keep track of all my plants, and what everything looks like. It's extremely basic, a grid based on the key plants list with the name of everything, and pictures (with seeds) of what I have. I plan to get everything filled in eventually. It's also proven helpful in figuring out I had the seeds sitting around to make not just one, but TWO magic plants (I still need to compile the Fourpetal maple) Enough babbling, here it is - Bare Bones Plant Grid (http://www.iocane.net/plantgrid.html) Quick note - I didn't start this until I hit soil level 3 (water level 2) so there are some 'early' plants that are under-represented.
