But I was wondering at this time if I could purchase this game for someone other than myself (I already have it) seeing as it's not avaliable on CD.

The game will not be available in the original CDBox for some time, unfortunately.

In the meantime, though, you can do the following:
Buy the game from BFG and make sure that the box for receiving a BFG cd is checked (the cd will include the full version of Plant Tycoon). In this case you would put for shipping information -> the name of the person you want to give the game to and for payment information -> your info.
