no, i do not think you should prune anything than dead leaves, anything else may damage the plant!

Well, I've found that turning my trees into bonsais always sell quicker, if not for a little more. I'll have a nice, full tree and it sits there, but artistically whack off a couple of branches and create a bonsai look, and it's a big seller. Maybe it's just me, but it seems to work. Doesn't hurt to experiment! lol

If you look at the health of your plant as you trim you will notice: 1) If you trim a dead leaf, health goes up. 2) If you trim a good leaf, health goes down
Of course bonsai are neat to look at tho.

Yes, I understand that trimming can decrease the health, but that isn't quite my question. In the guide it seems to imply that "revealing obsured flowers" and "improving a plants shape" increase the value. I could very possibly be reading that wrong, so I just want a little clarification if anyone has figured this out. And, again, since I have the Isola shears, it isn't damaging the plants too much. Thanks again!

I've cut away foliage that was obscuring the flowers a few times, when the plants weren't selling well. They sold almost immediately when I put them back in the nursery. I've never tried trimming for shape.

I've done the same as arnie. I've trimmed away leaves that were "covering" flowers, and that seems to help with some sales.

pruning your plants CAN increase their selling value and decrease their selling time, but it can also hurt the health of the plant
the key is to prune the plants strategically
plus, when you get the lvl 2 or 3 shears, they do less damage to the plant's health
