Wow!! I've just been reading all these posts and most the ideas are great!!! I love the idea of parenting being a skill that does not necessarily include "breeding" (as it was called in VV1). Almost any man and woman can "breed". Only those that work at it can sucessfully "parent". And yes, fathers should take their turns at being a real parent: taking a turn watching the nursing child, helping to teach them, playing with them, etc.
I also agree about the weather; at least some rain, heavy wind, occasional hurricane/typhoon.
Hunting as part of farming (provisioning should be the title) would be great.
I would also like to see some way to include a scroll of names of all villagers who have passed away. Perhaps once the initial 50 graves have been filled a scroll (link) could appear that would take you to a page of all the names of the deceased with their age at time of death. I would really like to keep a complete history on my village
Also (and I've seen this mentioned briefly in a couple of other posts) add a puzzle that would be to build a boat and travel to another small island nearby, where perhaps there would be pieces to one or more of the other puzzles. Also maybe they could travel around the island by sea to visit VV1. Possibly even an expansion pack for VV1 so your TLC could visit one of your own versions of ANH.
Last, I would love to see not only the mother and father of the children identified, but also the grandparents. That would be awesome, especially if one wanted to keep an island history and geneologies on the islanders. And with the elsewhere mentioned idea of more affection (other than kissing to breed) being shone, it would be great if the grandparents (all four of them) could play more of a part in a child's education, care and general life.
Someone said they keep their healers dressed in white to distinguish them. GMTA. I dress my Elders in White, my Healers in Red and my Parents of Triplets in Green. Oh, and would there be a way to create our own clothing designs? That would be great to have more possiblities of clothing.

Okay, I'm done for now. LOL
