All my villagers started partying and refused to work. They ate all their food and soon died. My village is now littered with corpses and my population is now 1... My golden child. Am I stuck?

I have completed puzzles 1-10, have 400 food, all tech improvements and 184,216 research points left.

Unfortunately, Island Events don't occur unless there's at least one adult alive in the village, and that is the only means by which new villagers could arrive to salvage the situation. The GC will never run out of food, and will pretty much go on forever by himself. Many people in that situation have just let him live on in his own little world and started a new game in a different slot.

i always think of it as his own little prison world where he can never again disrupt the smooth working of my little villages

LOL, i agree with you there Eyeshiegh. My village died out last week and only the GC was left. I had to make a decision... i deleted the tribe so that GC could have a rest

I haven't gotten a golden child yet, been trying though. Is he that awful? If so, I'll quit trying for him/her.

no, he does good things for the village, some of us just get irritated by him sometimes, so we love to pick on him

you should at least get him once and decide whether you like him or not

It happened to my as well. I just uninstall the game. But NOW I want to play again so I reinstall the game.
