I got a little ticked off today at these little twerps.
There was a ton of debris washed up on the beach from a storm.
I have 65 villagers so I grabbed about 15 of them from around the island and dragged them over to clean the beach up. They weren't doing anything important at the time.
Well, I turn around for 5 seconds and suddenly see people heading off in every direction after one load of cleaning up!
A master doctor decided she wanted to wander over and stare at that darn cactus again rather than work. No way, lady! Get to work.
Another little stud had wandered off and was chatting up a little cutie over by the food bin. That would have been fine if I needed more babies.
I catch another wiseguy at the Research table cracking jokes to the other slackers instead of working.
Now I hate to be a tough boss and don't like having to come down on the kids too hard. It makes me look like a tyrant or something. I realize they are likely having some difficulties adjusting to life on Gilligan's Overpopulated Nightmare Island.
But is it too much to ask for everyone to do their share of the work?
They can go swimming and flirting and whatever else they want when the chores are done.
I guess until my crew learns some proper discipline I can't trust them enough to leave them alone. Sheesh.
Kids....

I'm glad I'm not in your village! I'd never get any coffee! It's a good thing kids are the only ones that need a potty break, 'cause your adults would just have to suffer!

Now listen, I never said that coffee breaks weren't allowed.
But we can't just go wandering off without telling the others before the work is done.
Discipline and self-control. Anything else is Anarchy.
I am the Lord of these Flies. (I hope people understand this reference or I'm going to feel very OLD)

Sir! Yes, Sir!

And, yes, I understood the reference (it was required reading when I was in high school). Does that make me old?

Cool way to put things into perspective. You sound like a Drill Instructor for the Marine Corps.

Have you ever tried the game TROPICO for the PC?

Hey!!!! Middle of my third decade of life here, and it was required reading for me too...I'm pretty sure I don't qualify as 'old' yet...

I'm only 41 but feel much older. 7 year old twin sons do that to me.
