I remember with all the LDW games, that they were virtually cheat proof unless you advanced your clock to keep from waiting while the games do their thing. This I don't really consider cheating, you are just cutting out the dead time. You still have to make all the decisions yourself. It is actually a risky maneuver to do this in the game, too, because you risk something terrible happening to your characters and not being able to correct it in time. This of course, isn't a good idea because you mess up all your time-sensitive computer settings like your email box and calender, etc.

It seems to me like a nifty lil application would be a game only accelerator that would fuse itself to the game, insulate itself and the game from the rest of the system, and left the rest of your computer alone.

For those of us who like to meddle because we are impatient.

It's really just a bad idea to adjust the computer's system clock. It messes up a lot of stuff, including email and antivirus software, to mention only two. That's one of the reasons that we made "Fast" in Plant Tycoon a lot faster than it is in our other games. Your plants will mature in less than an hour on the fastest speed - that's over twice as fast as Fish Tycoon, for example.

Even if advancing your clock were to do no harm in PT I'd still consider it cheating. The Insta-Grow is for sale in the store. If you advance your clock you are effectively doing what that would do so you gain an advantage by saving the money.
