Can't tell you how dumb I feel, but I'm going to ask anyway because either I'm misreading the how-to or just am too stupid to get it. I know how to stick a seed in the dirt, pollinate it, reap the seeds, etc. - but obviously I must be cross-pollinating because I started coming up with some really strange plants right off the bat and really none of the original plants once I had used all the seeds I got the first time.

Can you go through the process of single pollination and then cross-pollination? I hate to think that I'm the only one out here who's obviously gotten off to an interesting, but somewhat shaky start!
