Try as I mighnt I cannot get any totums! What am I doing wrong?
I have 3 of the pieces of the gong and 90 people. I am making the stew like crazy and still don't have an elder. Getting bored here!

It's when a villager is Master in 3 different skills, so he becomes an Esteemed Elder and he has a totem!

it takes patience and time to work with each individual tribe member to make them become an elder...switching them from task to task helps too. you need to have them master 3 skills

Especially after they've mastered two. I had one master farmer that would go to the research table while food was growing, work there until the bin would drop a bit, go coconuting or fishing then back to the research table. He'd leave when the harvest would come in. He was just about to make elder (building, healing and parenting weren't his style) when he got sick and I failed to notice! So really, keep an eye on who learns fast, then set them to a task, let them master it then plop them about. Also - don't forget, ( good kissfest increases parenting skills in men, do it w/ a woman over 50 ) Highlight for hint.
