Frequent Freezing

Great Game! It has saved me from utter and complete boredom during insurance class. I have been experiencing frequent game freezing. It has happened almost one per day (I have had the game for four days), after which I must do a system reset. Today it froze so bad that I had to do a complete hotsync from scratch. Obviously I lost all 43 villagers and progress. Have not been able to detect a common thread... sometimes it happens right after I return to the game when it has been turned off, and sometimes it happens in the middle of dragging the villagers to a task, etc. Is this common or is my unit corrupted?
Tungsten T2, running from internal memory, 21mb out of 32mb free.

I'm afraid I'm having the exact same problem on my T2. This AM I went to check on my village (65 villagers, all puzzles except GC and boulder solved) and I can't even get past the "updating world". I've reset 5 times, but it looks pretty hopeless.

We had problems on the T2 during testing, and we were hopeful that we had fixed them. If you are resetting and you still can't get the game to run correctly (as Moppett is describing), the savegame file is corrupted, at the very least.
You can certainly try deleting completely, and reinstalling the game. This has proven to provide extended, and in some cases indefinate, relief from crashing.
Other than that, we are currently working on a version with significant memory management optimizations that we hope will clear up a variety of crashing/freezing problems.

I was also experiencing many "freezes" on the "Updating World" screen on my UX50, but one day, I decided to just let it sit there for a few minutes "frozen" only to find that it just was taking a really long time to update everything. Of course, the cause of this lag was probably because I wouldn't come back to the game for more than a half of a day and it must have had a lot of calculations to make. Also, I've found that when I play music in the background, VS seems to stay more focused and is in result quicker. Perhaps this is because the playing music causes VS to skip all of the executions for its sounds and music-or I just think that it's faster since I'm entertained while I'm waiting . HTH -spaceman

We are making steady progress on version 1.1, and I am confident that it will have very improved stability.
