Alpha Order

I just have to ask this. Why can't we put the villagers in Alpha Order the way they are in VV1? We can sort them as to age, skill, or health, but not their alpha order in the tribe. In VV1, the villagers went from oldest to youngest, with any alpha villagers that were born into the tribe inserted into the dominance order of the tribe. After having one of the gray haired dudes as the preferred Man of the Hour, and having a bunch of little gray haired kids as a result, he finally turned 50, and my favorite handsome one was next in line to be the Stud of the Tribe, when lo and behold, all the women are going to the gawky green haired 18 year old !! Arggghhhh.
Does anyone else who played VV1 find this annoying, or am I just overly crabby about VV2?

It is because of their skills not looks or likes or dislikes...I have an 19 yr old female parent going after a 70 yr old male cause hes got the right skills she was looking for.

Also, skills has nothing to do with mating choice. I'd have to see this to believe it. It is always the alpha male or alpha female that is chosen first, unless the villager doesn't like that person, then they go to the next alpha.

No I am talking about VV2 my villagers kiss the old geezers lol and it is the females I have set to parenting and yes they kiss my elders who are 70.

Kittenangel, do you pick them up and drop them on the old geezers? I'm confused, since this is one of the aspects of VV1 that was changed in VV2.

I'm bumping this post up in the hopes that someone from Last Day of Work will tell me why the Alpha Order of the villagers was not continued into The Lost Children. Also, I spotted a grammatical error in a prior post of mine and can't correct it now. As a former teacher, that bugs me to death. Why a time limit on the editing of posts?

The time limit is quite normal on forums. Although it is possible to edit posts if you spot a typo or similar soon after the post being made, it is not fair to be able to edit a post after someone has replied, as you could go back and completely change the post to say something different.
I don't have VV1 on this machine, but ISTR that the sort order in the details screen was by age, not name. In VV2 you have three options, to sort by age, experience, or health.

The sort order was changed in VV2, because that was something that was often requested by fans of VV1. If you want me to fix your grammatical error, I'd be happy to do that for you. Just send me the link to the post that bothers you.
