Ah, I don't need to mess with it anymore. I've come SOOO far since I started this topic. I've almost got the temple gong piece, and I have so much food it would last me for the rest of the game if I stopped my farmers!

Just to repeat -- In my experience, the kid pile-up only works on new collectables that are rare or uncommon. It doesn't work on mushrooms, common collectables, or repeat collectables. Hope that helps!

Maybe you have a different version of the game? There are different versions at different sites. What version number is on the menu screen of your game?
