Hello everyone. I have a single game on fish tycoon that is very advanced. It is now almost in it's next stage of development and I was wondering if the same game could be saved at a particular point in the game. This is in case I mess up or would want to re-do the game. I would like to keep one version static in time while I use the other one. Is this possible?
If this topic has already been answered please let me know where to look. Thank you for your time.

You can simply pause any game that you don't want to advance in time (Main Menu/Options). You can also back up the savegame files to preserve them. The savegame files (in the Windows version) are located in Program Files\Fish Tycoon and are named FishSaveGame1.pts through FishSaveGame5.pts (corresponding to the player slots). Just pause the game(s) and back up those files to another folder of your choosing.

That sounds good. I'm still worried though, since Fish Tycoon IS a persistant game, wouldnt say, game two after a backup is made get messed up and if the backup is put in would it still read the game two as it was last played and not in the state it was when it was backed up?

Just making sure thanks.
Sorry if it sounded garbled.

If you replace the savegame in the Fish Tycoon program folder with the one you backed up, the game will revert to the state it was in when you backed it up. You can save as many game states as you have room on your hard drive (just rename them or keep them in separate folders. \:\)

Thank you so much! I was feeling really stuck.
Ill note if any problems come up, but I think this idea should work.
Have a good one!
