(This was already raised by someone else a while back, but they didn't get reply.)

Some of my children (four 11-year-olds, to be precise) seem to have lost their parents on the Details screen, so now I don't know who their parents were!

Is this a known _bug_? Has anyone else experienced this?

Have they died? Or have you had an event recently before that happend. If you had an event, it might of been on that takes away villagers...

Nope, no events, and I'm not missing any villagers.

They were there earlier, now suddenly they're not... whoever their parents were, they're still alive, as all my deceased villagers died in their 70's, and the 'orphaned' kids are only 11.

Did the population decrease when they went missing, too?

No, no-one is actually missing, as far as I can tell....

Maybe they were disowned by their parents for being naughty LOL

Have you got 2 or more different tribes? Maybe you've got confused with them.

Children created by the gong can have question marks on the details screen. There have been several discussions about that, including this one.

Yes Barbara but we can see their parents on the details screen. I thing it's some children arrived in a barrel or something like that.

They simply have no parents in their pic in the Details, just like adults don't, only these are children. There wasn't any kind of event, no-one is missing from the village, so their parents are still present, I just don't know which of my villagers they were!

All the children affected are the same age, so they must have had different parents, as none of them are twins. My total population is only around 49, so there's a limited shortlist of mothers, but fathers....well, it could have been anyone lol

Edit: yes the children-in-a-barrel event is a possibility; I don't remember it happening though, but it would explain a group of children all the same age

I can't find any reason for this situation, since you don't have the gong and you say you had no event (like children arriving on the island, as Laurence suggested). It's a mystery. No one else has ever reported such a thing before.

Thanks for your help everyone, I think laurence's suggestion of the barrel o' babies event most likely explains this. I must have missed it or forgotten it or something, which wouldn't be out of character
