I've been lurking around for quite a while, but finally decided to post because of some ideas for VV3. I agree with a lot of the ideas, but realize they would cause a lot of programming problems. What about using more "island events" to enable the villagers to have more to do. Like monsoons, or storms to cause actual damage to the huts so the builders will have something to do. Also, having a medical research table, so that the doctors can concoct potions and use them to cure various illnesses, having to choose the correct combination of plants to do this. I also would like to see them capture animals, like chickens or pigs to place in pens, the children could feed them, and occasionally there could be a message that one of the animals was used for a feast, then you would have to be sure to keep them breeding so they wouldn't all disappear. I would also like to see more things for the villagers to do once all the puzzles have been completed, maybe basket weaving, or the elders could become teachers so that the children could go to school and actually learn a certain skill, whatever that villager was a master of, and more hunting in the forest, sometimes coming back with some type of food, or coming back injured. I really don't like the "untrained, bored" villagers. I would like the children to have a skill even when the parents don't have a matching skill, sometimes when the population gets low, I set a man to be a parent so that I can increase my population, but most of the children end up being unskilled. I really enjoy this game but get tired of seeing millions of pieces of food and tech points. I'd like to have something for them to do besides gather food and research. More island events would make it more interesting!!
