Wow!! he got to be an esteemed elder at 34. You must have stayed on top of things. I left my runner for a few hours and when I got back he was researching, his first skill. I thought He'd be a Master builder after the mosaic was finished and a hut, but I think he kept wandering off. Then I had him farm. After he was a Master farmer I had to put him on fixing huts to finally get his totem.

When I get a runner again I'm going to spend the day with him/her to see if I can get it done under 42.

I trained him a master in farming first which took him to the age of 21, then reasearch and he ended up about 26, then i put him on healing but he didn't improve so i found out speed kissing when he turned 33

26 has been my best four different times.

I used the same method for all which was having them close to being masters of building and healing before they even turn 14.

You can put a child on a villager to heal them as well as an adult

There's also events that may help a villager with there skills. And ringing the gong, even though kids can't ring it. \:\)

I understand about the healing, but Wonka2 said building too, like it was something deliberate, not events. I want to know how to do that with building!

There's a tip in the June newsletter that helps with that. If you missed our newsletter, you can see it here. \:\)

I must be a total idiot, but that tip will make them "almost Master builders" before age 14?

I had a villager that became an elder at 18 but only because i used rang the gong when she was close, and got youth and she was the one effected, so by the time she came of age it was just a matter of time, was able to get her to master all 5 skills by the time she passed away. most of my other villagers became elders at about 45-ish.

I'd guess that you tried the wrong stew.

There are a few that make them exercise.

I finally got the right stew. My villagers are probably saying what a dumb guiding hand we've got!! I made them make builder the hard way after all the buildings were built. But I still got 26 Elders in my first game that I just started a week ago.

I started a new game as soon as I found about this stew and had all of them eat it. 3 of the villagers were swimming around in the ocean that's too "disgusting" to fish in. The one kid I have after a few servings sat down and said "no". So I gave him some more and after that time the there was blue in his builder bar!! I should have known there is a reason the kids keep hanging around the fire.

Wow, very impressive, probably a mastr doctor b4 age 14, then maybe a gong or island event, and I've had a villager master farming at age 14, but it was a runner, very good \:D

Don't you just love that gong event? My youngest Elder was a twin...one sister was 55, the gong made the other 5. I was kind of stupified at the time...she wound up living 72 more years...saw everyone of her generation die. Sad, that. She was in Whites at 14.

It's also sometimes sad that their parents reappear in the details screen. Often they've been long dead and are instantly recognisable as among the villagers who founded the tribe.

You are absolutely right...They were twin daughters of my first Elder, and the Tribe founder.
