as I play on i/2 speed and found all collectables sooner in the game maybe they didn't disappear so fast because my other two tribes I ran on 2x speed and found the last collectable by accident when I had actually gave up!

pause to grab kids was something I found by accident I grabbed a kid on a rare collectable then realised this kid was well a (deleted word as not to offend) Dullard so I grab another and both took it to the scientists and I got tech points even though it was a NEW rare one, from then on I paused and grabbed the kids to gain tech points when they found a NEW uncommon or rare thingy!

Me:
"There's a rare collectible! Where's a kid?"
...
"Found one!"
...
"Where's the collectible?"
...
"Found it"
...
"Too %$&*! late!"

I used to think the collectibles didn't disappear on pause, and I still do, because it gives the illusion that they don't disappear. I've never doing that for extra points. Good idea

Frankly I just grab a kid (any kid) and rove the village with him/her until I find a collectable/mushroom, then I go and find another kid and rove with that one until I find the next item.

I do it too isn't it fun?

ok i have a question, and excuse this if im wrong, but how can u have beat the game without levels 2 & 3 of farming? I thought that to beat puzzles 2(the dam), 3 (the scarecrow), 10 (the mosiac,completed after the dam) and 14(the gong piece off of the mosiac) you had to have level 2 of farming. Also to beat puzzle 7 (the algae eating fish) you have to complete level 3 of farming. So my question is did I misunderstand or did this not happen?

You need to have level 2 off enginering to build the dam there for letting the crops grow
