Lol!!! I know I'm a die hard LDW fan now - plant/fish tycoon roped me in and VS has made me true blue - I can't WAIT for other things, though, I'm so wrapped up in VS and all the fun it takes up most of my gaming time - heheh!

LDW doesn't reveal details of their game development, beyond what they post in the forums and on their main web site. They have announced that Fish Tycoon for Windows is "coming soon."

Actually I'm enjoying VS so much because it isn't like any of my other games. I love the real time play, the fact I turn my game on and something NEW has happened and I can't wait to see each time what might be there! The tycoon, fish and plant, are the same way. If they keep making fun games like that I'm going to wind up having no job just sitting around organizing my Sims all day

Carla manages the selection of beta testers for their games. Here are her instructions for anyone who wishes to apply:

If you want to apply to be a beta tester, you should go to our support page and send us a message with all of the following details:

1) name and email
2) device(s) you own and additional hardware (external memory cards, etc)
3) any previous beta testing experience

We will send out emails only to the chosen beta testers, before we start testing a new product.
Please note that you must be 18 and willing to sign and return a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Barbara, I just turned 18 about a week ago, so no prob there, but I don't really have much testing experience (only when a public beta is released for a program that I'm intersted in). Do you think that I have much of a chance? Also, is there much of a demand for UX50 users?

Carla handles the beta testing, so I think the best you can do is apply and keep your fingers crossed!!

After you apply do you only find out if they "want you" during the next round of beta testing?

Carla will send emails to people who have been selected to beta test a product. If you aren't selected to be a beta tester for a particular release, you won't get an email.

But do they only select people when a new test is needed? Like if they're inbetween testing you wouldn't hear anything?

Right, they don't actually 'recruit' beta testers until they need them. But they keep your information, so that you'll be considered the next time there's a beta test.
