How can you breed one???

If you bring up your favorite Internet search engine and type Magic Fish of Mutation, you'll find many sites that display everything from pictures of the fish to outright solutions on how to breed them. I tried it with Yahoo just today and it brought up some very good links!

I just tried that on Google, Barbara, and the top links were posts from you.

That's why I don't usually use Google - it's TOO good of a search engine and finds stuff I'm not looking for!

I dont like the magic fish of mutation so I just threw it in the trash.The only problem is I forgot how to breed it.
I remember that it is the wasp grouper. Can anyone tell me how to get it again?

The way you can get the Fish of Mutation is to apply unknown chemical to babies. Try it! it works for me.

I bred some fish in the same tank with the "magic fish of mutation," but they all grew up exactly as they would have done ordinarily -- without mutating... what gives? I even kept the magic fish in the tank the whole time they were growing up. Playing on PocketPC.

The description for the Magic Fish of Mutation says, "With this fish in your tank, pregnant fish have a chance of producing a baby not related to either parent!" The key word there is chance!

What I've generally seen with the Magic Fish of Mutation is that the mutations are fewer and much more subtle than when using the Unknown Chemical from the store. Out of an entire tankful of babies, you might see only one or two small mutations - for instance, one of the babies might have a different fin type. The interesting thing about the mutations that you do get is that when you examine the mutated fish using the Species button, it will list the parents that would have produced that offspring - not the actual parents that produced the mutated fish. If you're keeping track of breeding on a grid or database, that can be useful information.

Somewhat disappointing, I think. Would like to see this Magic Fish do more, and do it more radically, than the Unknown Chemical. Maybe just a personal preference, but I think it would be fun to introduce a bit more randomness.

Yes I agree! I wish the Magic Fish of Mutatation would of done more. Even though in the description of the magic fish of Mutation it says Pregnant fish have a CHANCE of producing Differant Babies.
