Maybe, but remember that at 2X speed an Isola year is equal to one hour in real life. That means the screen would be flickering between day and night every second.

That's true! I hadn't done the maths well enough to work that one out!

Maybe as a compromise we should hope for seasons in VV3? We have to wait between crop cycles now, anyway, so seasons would be fun...imagine, the pools freeze over in winter (so no retrieving totem pieces, fishing for particular types of fish or diverting brooks for 30 minutes!) and there are no butterflies in sight anywhere; spring, lots of butterflies, but the mushrooms are few and far between; summer, crops at their height, lots of beetles, but villagers need to drink more often; and autumn, crops start to fail if they're not picked fast enough, etc. And imagine the graphics! Snow on the roofs of the huts! \:\)

That would be neat. Night fall as Arnie said would be difficult.

I like that thought of seasons. The only trouble, once again, is realism. Isola is a tropical island, so the seasons would be similar all year round. ;\)

Still as I've said before, Isola is a magic island! All sorts of strange things can happen, and often do happen. 8\)

i like the days the way they are right now. i mean it would be cool if they went into huts to sleep if they got tired.

They call it "hot-bunking" in the Navy. One sailor wakes up and goes on duty and another takes his place in the bed. ;\)
