Hi Everyone,
So I have level 3 now for everything and am at my max for population. Food is at 76110 and I have a few elderly people but no one has died for a while. How do I end up with the golden baby? Should I stop running it in fast mode? Now I'm beginning to get a little bored. I only have 3 puzzles left and I am guessing the first one is the bolder and the last two will be once the bolder is gone.
I also had the game crash on me once. I have the T3 and I am not sure if it was because you can write on the screen. So I turned that off and I have not had it crash since. I have had it look weird in spots when in the map screen as the people were moving about. It was distored in sections is the best way for me to describe it. I went back into the closeups and then back to map and it didn't help clear the problem. Now everything is alright so I am not sure what I did to clear it up except possibly turn off my Palm.
Thank you for your help.

The 'distortion' you described is a known bug and Arthur is working on it. It clears up when you leave Village Sim and launch it again, so that's how to make it go away if it happens again.
If you start experiencing crashes again, there is a lot of information in the "Crash' thread.

Tigger lady is right. I gave up waiting for the GC, cauz, I did not have the right person for the last puzzel, so I figured I might as well start over.

Did you just let the game run or did you try and get them to do stuff? I have some untrained people but they don't seem to want to learn anything.

I have no idea who the right person is for the last puzzle but I guess I will figure it out when I get there.

I can confirm what Ladycfii said...As soon as a couple conceives the Golden Child, you are given the green message box.

I didn't plan for it either, but I'm still waiting for the GC to move that stupid rock. He stands there and does his magic thing, but nothing happens. Sigh.
I managed to see the boulder being moved for the first time yesterday. I just happened to be watching the mini-map, and saw all my villagers swarm to the north. They were observing this wonderful act

Hi all. I went back to the game after maybe a day, just to check on them, and it took many minutes to load, then crashed with the "fatal error" and the soft rest when I tried to move somebody. So I figured that this particular game file was finished. I've managed to restart the game, and then start a brand new game. However, it's annoying that the "menu" screen doesn't come up right away, but that the "loading game" and then the current game starts, and you have to click the menu to start a new game, especially since I knew that my old game was crashing the palm. If the menu came up right away, I could have started a new game without entering the old one, and running the risk of crashing.
Oh, and somehow crashing killed the Z71's ability to hotsync too...I looked it up on Palmone.com, and found out that charging the palm while in an unstable mode can kill the hotsync, so I had to do a manual soft reset. All seems to be working okay now.
Just fyi for anyone out there.
