I had two villages croak on my (*snort*) while I was working today. I grabbed one of my healthy little villagers and took them to the "sacred area for the dead" and they went, picked up the remains, buried them, then went to do an "Honor the dead" action. She started walking toward the field with the flowers and when she reached the field she disappeared!! I can't find her in detail and I exited the game and came back, she is still missing from detail and the island but my population has remained the same #. It's ODD...is this a bug or something "special" about the honor the dead thing? I'm afraid to have another villager bury my dead now!!

Did you touch her or drag her at all just before she vanished? There have been reports of vanishing villagers associated with burials (and, possibly breeding) - we're trying to get more information on these occurrences.

My exact moves were to drag her to the burial ground so she could "see the sacred burial ground". After that I didn't touch her. She walked to the bodies, brought them back to the burial ground and little headstones popped up, then she started on her own to do a "worship the dead" or honor the dead or whatever action and walked toward the field and the minute she hit the field of flowers - bam! - disappeared

I had a similar problem with breeding, I had three ladys, two were nursing, I got the other to "go indoors", and she never came out, what ever happened to the poor girl in that hut!!

It also happened to me. 2 young guys disappeared while 3 old villagers were being buried. I was dragging them two towards the cemetary and then they disappeared and I ended up with 5 tombstones!!! I tot this is part of the event, ie. ceremony of sacrifice to honour the dead!

Lol fssia - that's one way to look at it. I guess my little villager was so sad she uh, up and did herself in , to be with loved ones - yeah, that's why she disappeared!
