I copy mine out of my Palm Desktop backup folder and put them in other folders on my PC, but you can also copy them to an expansion card on the Palm using a file manager. You just need to remember to pause the game first, or you'll have dead villagers when you load it again.

Anonymous, there is no 'simple' way to save a game, but if you go into your palm directory on the PC, there is a folder there called Backup. In that folder, there is a file VillageSavegame.PDB.

To keep a backup of a game I do not want to lose, I make a copy of this with a useful name.

When I want to restore a game, I delete the current VillageSavegame.PDB, rename my previously saved file back to VillageSavegame.PDB and then do a hotsync of my palm adding this new file
