Need more tech points in a certain area so that you do not have to depend on the barry bush.

Harvesting is the key.... you'll have enough food for everyone!

There is another way to get food - it might involve poking around the island and maybe moving a vilager around to see what the "they can...here" actions are in certain spots

That is my clue.

JustAGirl, welcome to the sneaky club.

However, if your food source is one that I have hinted at previously, it does not always help, but may improve more later on

Yes, YES...I think we're talking about the same thing - all this sneakiness is making it hard to tell though

I noticed one of my villagers would get a throaty, almost sexy, growl when I picked him up. Then I noticed it in another villager! In fact, all of them were master farmers. Then I figured it out - they were foraging at the Barry White bush.

OK, I looked and looked and can find only three sources for food. Can one of you girls in the sneaky club PM me and let me know were the other "sometimes" source is?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that there is only the three food sources. The berry bush keeps replenishing itself.

I would fully endorse this wonderful idea but the very people who could most benefit from reading it - i.e. MY VILLAGERS - cannot read and write. It's part of my decreed illiteracy campaign in the village. I find that they work harder when they aren't distracted by reading things like the warning labels on the faulty box of nails they use to construct the huts or even the sign posted by the Barry White bush that states: "Consumption may cause sexiness." Unfortunately, the scientists must be able to read - and I am forever hauling them back from the Barry White bush as they strive to become breeders.

It's a thankless job.

Tibby, you may be right about the reading and writing, but they do tell stories, and tell jokes amongst other things....true story

and Warren, sorry, yes you have the 3 sources I have found. I didn't know how many people realise that the berry bush does come back after a while, and even starts to flourish sometimes. Hence didn't want to make it too obvious b4
