When i install Fish tycoon on my HP IPaq 1910 i get an error
Cannot find fish tycoon (or one of its components) Make sure the path and filename are correct and the required libraries are available.

This also happens with Plant Tycoon. Ive tried reinstalling with no luck .. can anyone help me?

You might try installing the CAB file that Arthur posted in the third post in this thread. It might resolve your problem. If not, you should use our support function. You'll find the link in the first post in thate thread. Good luck!

Sorry. That was a very old post, and I should have checked the attachment first. You should be able to get CAB files for both games if you submit a support question.

I found a few places where it offers cab files for the games .. but after installing it directly to the ipaq i still get the same message =(

Are you installing to your iPAQ's main memory or to an expansion card, and are you installing to the default directory?

Iam installing it to the default directory

What happens if you try navigating directly to the folder containing the .exe file and attempt to run it from that folder?

I get the same error message .. i even tried installing to a different directory and the card .. but the same thing happens

It's possible that there's a problem with the registry entries for the games. Sometimes those can be resolved by using the Add/Remove programs function to completely uninstall the games and reinstalling. There are some registry tools out there, as well, but editing the registry requires advanced knowledge to make sure that you don't mess up Windows Mobile in the process.

Ill give that a try .. i do some work with the registry so i know to be careful =) .. ill let you know how it goes

I gave it a try .. cleaned my registry and ran a utility .. reinstalled but still i got the same error message

There is one more possibility. Your iPAQ may be missing the required GAPI library, depending upon how old the device is and which version of Windows mobile you're running. See if your system contains the file gx.dll. If you find it on your iPAQ, try copying it into the Fish Tycoon and Plant Tycoon folders.

I did a search for gx.dll .. it was not on the device

You can download it from this post. Make sure that you put a copy into each game's folder (as advised by Kieren in the post immediately following Arthur's).
