Hey all, new player here -- I just downloaded VV over the weekend and I'm already hooked! I'm very new to the game, as well as to the forums, so forgive me if I sound a little wet behind the ears. I was just curious as to how a villager's likes/dislikes are determined. Only a couple of mine even have them specified -- one likes wind, another dislikes snakes. I honestly don't know what to do with that info.!

Well, you just get them. Some likes and dislikes mean stuff, some don't. If they like running, they run everywhere, if they like wind or something like that they don't mean much.

Different likes and dislikes are random

May be the first likes farming (in open-air) and the other not, but I don't think it occurs. I regret a little that there is no more often "likes/dislikes".

all of my villager almost dislikes sand

I have one who dislikes sand but when I make a stew for dancing, he is the first going one the beach and dancing!!

But I'm tired to bring Uma (who dislikes work) from the pond to the research table!!

Some dislike don't show up on the taskbar.I had a woman who didn't like men. It didn't matter which male I tried to mate her with, she would run away every time she was kissed. She died childless.
