L2 Culture is the least important to me as it only gets you the sewing hut, which since new clothes cost 5,000 points, you can't afford to use yet.
I agree, it's all the more since (not sure about this expression!) the sewing-hut is in the way of the "exercise". But we need level 2 to have level 3 and to uncover the vines (and to make master builders) so I used to stop the construction of the sewing hut at 50% (or less or more).
I do the same strategy than you, except that, some time, in hard mode, I need the level 3 of farming early and so before medicine.
