I went in and up popped that a group of my strong younger villagers have taken off on a raft.

They took all the young females I was going to let have babies - so I had to scramble and find all the ones left who were still young enough to have babies to repopulate with.
*sighs*

I will probably end up with a village of potato and helmet heads along with some green haired villagers thrown in too.
