Our family may have to go away for 4 days starting tomorrow, leaving no one to take care of our villiagers?

How can we put the game on pause? We don't want all the villiagers to die?

We are playing VV2.

Same as VV1, go to Options from the start menu and set the game speed to zero (pause).
Of course if you were a true fanatic you would install the game on a laptop and take it with you! (just kidding)
