My best is being credited for 48 children picking up the same mushroom. If you've mastered the number keypad and wait until the kids play a game of tag, you can get quite a few.

That's what i do exactly the same as you WillieWonka.

sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't

i've got one village on pause unless i'm actually playing it because i've got only 5 kids. I tried pausing the game to do the mushroom trick (because even tho there's 800 crops, they can't get it and they're all starving) and it never worked for me.
