this is the 2nd time i lost my tribe and im getting sick of it
i wouldnt mind if i found all the collectibles .. is there someone i can contact about this ..

There are forum moderators you can contact and forum members are usually eager to help if they can. Can you give some details about what is happening when or before you loose your game? Are they dying off or is there a technical problem with the game or computer?

I can only think of three reasons, that you'd have a problem with your game.

1. Your not playing it well.
2. Problem with softwate.
3. Computer not compatable with game.
I hope I didn't sound to harsh, just hoping it would help you. If your stuck with the game, someone here will help sort it out. Maybe you should brief us on the events of the problem. Good luck.

i normally finish all things but the collectibles
when i close it and reopen it .. my tribe is totally
gone .. i was playing it yesterday .. and now poof
and i have to start over .. i dont want to .. its

Sounds like maybe your having problems keeping your savegame files where they are, if you move or delete the files from the "my document" folder in your c drive, you wont be able to open the game, Is there anyone else in the house that might be doing this, or maybe you were doing it not realizing that it was essential, even if you move to a new folder or a sub folder, the game wont be able to find it.
Sometimes our cleanup programs and spam protectors delete unnessasary files and since its not nessasary to run the acual computer it may be deleting it, are you finding that it happend after you did a clean? i know youve been here for awhile, but sometimes the simplest thing is the one thing you never think of.
Just a question, did you run VV1? did you ever have problems with it. or is VV2 the first game youve played.

Have you tried the procedures in this post for backing up and (possibly) restoring your savegame files?

I'd rather try to help in the forums, rather than Private Messages, so that other people can benefit from the answers.

i looked in the folder in my computer
and it shows things taht went on on saturday for awhile
and then it stops .. so it proves it was working ..
but i dont know how to get them back

The links that I provided will help you find and recover the savegame files, if they still exist on your computer. If you're not comfortable working with your computer's file system, maybe you could ask a friend who knows how to recover computer files to help you with this? That would be the safest thing to do, since we don't want to cause unnecessary problems with your computer by having you perform file system operations that you are not familiar with.

You should try using your Windows search function and type the following in the file name field (exactly as shown): isola2*.ldw

If you copy the list of files (along with the dates of the files) that it finds, I can tell you which file(s) are missing.

As Barbara said, If you don't know how to search in Windows, is there a friend or relative who would be able to help you?

Alternatively, there are a lot of good Windows learning sites on the 'net. I googled "Windows tutorial" and found lots of free tutorials on basic Windows tasks. Maybe that would help, Ivory Rose?
