How much does the science technology help? I'm working toward the 90K farming tech, but haven't bought the 20K science tech yet.

Can I gain 110K points with the 2nd level tech faster than I can gain 90K without it?

Yes -- your scientists should earn twice as many tech points each time they succeed as they would with just Level 1 science.

I always get L2 Science as soon as I can afford it (right after building the dam, usually), and L3 Science immediately after. Makes the end of the game go so much faster, but the middle part gets a bit slow!

First of all I get get building and second exploration. Third is science, which enables me to get the other advances quicker. I don't bother with L3 science until I've got the other advances.
