I know it's silly, but I like my characters and get just a wee bit sad when they die! \:D They're so cute and huggable and they have such short lives and cute personalities. They were tiny little babies once, and now they are buried where they lived. Danged human emotional attachments! \:D Bittersweet. \:\)

Don't worry, you're not the only one! It's why I take tons of pictures of my villagers and hold anniversaries for them every ten years. I haven't had any die yet in my current village, but in an old one a little 5-year-old died in the night while I was asleep. I buried the poor baby. I didn't delete that tribe or another one I made, but I haven't checked on either one in a while. They've probably all gone extinct by now.

By the way, I like your username.

I just found out one of my tribes went completely extinct. But here's the big thing: my tribe's maximum population was 8, but there were only six bodies (counting the little girl that I buried). Whatever happened to the other two? Is there an event where two of the villagers just disappear? Keep in mind I only solved four puzzles on that game, and not in order.

I feel most sad, when the first two villagers die. At the start of the game you have time to get to know them. But I keep pictures of the original first seven. They give me fond memories of them.

I woke up this morning and found two of my villagers had passed away from old age. One was really special because he was always working and was an elder at a young age.
They are all unique but some still have that special place in your heart.
Like my non-runner (great grandson of my first villager)who became an elder yesterday. I worked so hard to make him one and it took many of his years to finally succeed - it will be a sad day when he passes away.
I will admit I grieve for all of them when they pass.

I do get very upset when my villagers die. This is my first time playing and I time traveled but forgot I had the game on 2X. I only set my clock ahead 8 hours but I guess there wasn't enough food to sustain the tribe. I was devastated! My tribe is still intact so in the memory of my lost villagers we fight for our existance!

I got very sad when my villagers started to die. I'm still very new to this, so my villagers only live until about their mid-sixties. My original six villagers died, then the very first baby born in the village died. That really bummed me out. \:\(
