What triggers the children to play tag?

I love to see them run around in a straight line especially when there are twenty or more.

They just seem to play randomly. I don't think you can control them playing tag.

What seems so sad is the sight of those who dislike running crawling along at the rear of the pack. Often they are still gamely plodding on when the game has broken up at the other end of the village and the other kids have all gone their separate ways.
