A request and a question:

Could the page indicate whether the sort is today, last 2 weeks, or all time? I spotted the change to the dynamic URL, but indicating the range on the page would be easier for most people.

When does the day start? Is it the last 24 hours of data? Is it midnight to midnight of the server? (if yes, what time zone?)

I was thinking that could be done. The sorted by string is already sorta long, though. Might need to rearrange things a bit.



It is a dynamic last 24 hours. It updates when you fetch the page.

I'm really glad to see the new leaderboards with the various sorts. Kudos and Thanks to MCroft and LadyCFII!!!

It was frustrating that although I had high points in all categories, unless I got that rare special event to add an elder, I'd never make the leaderboard. Using the log file to get the event seemed like cheating to me, so I was resigned to never seeing any of my tribes on the board.

I've read all the posts about the new sorts, and I guess I am the only one who doesn't understand how they work. My first tribe has statistics showing #1 in several categories, but is not listed on the leaderboard. The tribes stats are much higher than tribes listed. Also two of my tribes both show #1 in the same category in statistics and they are thousands of points apart. Does number one not mean number one?

What am I missing??? Help!!

The game considers only some entries "active", but the web page shows all records (unless you change the period by pressing the "Today" or "Last Two Weeks" buttons), which usually explains the differences.

The web page sorts based on the column header buttons and goes back to the database to refresh the data when you change columns. Some categories are likely to be quite full, such as Stews, which will almost always have 100 people with "18" in it. You may not show up in those.

I don't know exactly what happens inside the application, so I can't help with that question.

Thanks for the answer. I really feel dense but I still don't understand.Perhaps I wasn't clear in my question.I'll give an example. My first tribe has 143,018,442 tech points as of my last update an hour ago. Hours played 2517, Babies 2580 and events 122. Why doesn't this tribe show up on any sort, with any time period in any of these categories? I understand that with tech points, since there isn't room for all numbers, a leading "2" may have been dropped from all the tribes that made it to the leader boards but what about the other categories?

You are not the only one with over 100 million tech points who has this problem. It may be a limitation or problem with the leader board code, and Arthur is investigating the situation.

Love the new leaderboards too......but I am still curious why I cant seem to get on it? Is it because I didnt buy the game from LDW? ( i didnt know about this before I bought it.....so i bought it from the first place I could find it )
