Two of my slots or villages begin the game with 1500 coconuts, one 1140 (I think) and two at 780. And that is regardless of the difficulty or speed. Why?

And just now one of my villages the new crop came up 50 food short. Why?

The difficulty setting does affect the amount of food in various food sources. For example, the coconut trees start out with 1500 on the easy and normal game difficulties, and 780 on hard difficulty. I can't explain the 1140, but you weren't very sure about that one.

What is the difficulty setting in the game that had the crop "shortage?"

I have graduated to "hard" and now that is all I play. I play that diffculty at 2x during the day and 1/2 when I go to bed.

I sorry, I errored when I said 1140 it is 860.

It seems to be set that way and no matter if I delete or start over in those slots that is the amounts of coconuts I get.

As Barbara said, on the Hard setting you should get 780 coconuts. Is it possible you had an event that gave you 80 extra coconuts?

But what about the slot that have 1500 coconuts? I play them at hard.

Could it be that the program is stuck on that number no matter the difficulty?

Also, does the program "learn" a gamers playing style? I am asking because the villagers are coming out in "uniforms".
Outfits that I use when the puzzle is complete are the ones repeated in the next game and two or three villagers will be in it and/or their children will also have them.

Not all the villagers are in uniform and no it doesn't always happen.

To get 1500 coconuts on hard, like arnie suggested is it possible you got these off an island event???

Drea, if you change the difficulty after you start the game, the number of coconuts will not change. Whenever you start a new game, it always has the settings of the last game that you were playing. If you were looking at a tribe that was set for easy or normal difficulty when you decided to start another tribe, the new tribe will have those settings. If you change the settings to hard, you will have to click Start Over in order to have the new settings take effect.
