If I explain what is happening with my game I would be grateful if someone could let me know if it's the norm or if I've got a duff game. Even when there are no hours left on the fire it is still blazing away. Once the fields are producing I cannot get any of my little folk to go fishing. No matter how many times I put them in the water they go back to watering the crops or worrying about the food shortage. The ocean is clear, there is no algae and my little folk are dying because they seem to have this fear of the water. This may not seem serious but I don't have the time to sit and just keep putting little people in the ocean. I currently have 14 people, 642 food units and 82 minutes until next harvest. Any help would be appreciated

There is a small graphic glitch with the fire: the fire graphic is not removed if the fire "goes out" while the game is running. If you were to quit the game or switch to another tribe slot and then go back to that game, the fire would be gone. A quick way to check is to hold an adult villager over the fire (Yikes!) and look for a message. If it says that this would be a good place to build a fire, then the fire is actually out and you should rebuild it.

Your 14 villagers should have no problem surviving on 642 units of food until the crops appear again. The food produced by the farm can sustain a village of that size, so I wouldn't get too worried about where your farmers choose to work. If their behavior annoys you too much, you might try leaving the game off for several hours and then starting it again to check on how much food they have produced. Sometimes they do better when you're not watching them.

I agree, I often find that while my game is off, they harvest more food then when I keep it on. Usually .

I also find they harvest more when the game is shut down

Very many thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I shut down the game for a couple of hours while I went out and came back to 14 people 0 food and only a few minutes to next harvest. So will persevere....however on checking my little people I discovered I had 13 females and 1 male.

Hope your village survives for a long time!!!
