I always have some problems with that function! But this time it's a disaster!!
The window is every time too much high and I can't reach the button at the bottom but this time I succeed to reduce it and I click on play to go back in my game. And it's the announcement "do you want to restart the game" that appears! I want to say "cancel" but nothing arrives, so I decide to close the game. When I open it again, I can see that it has restart!!! I loose my favourite, loved tribe!!!
And now, impossible to reduce the window! Finally, in reducing the bar at the bottom of my screen, I succeed to reach the options and to go back in full screen! And now I have a headache!
I delete my last tribe because it's too late in the evening to start a new one. but it's the last time that I change the "fullscreen"!!!

My full screen off/on button works perfectly i cannot see how clicking one simple thing can cause your game to restart!!!

Did you back-up your game before this happened?

I should think not! I did not back-up my game (in fact I don't know how to do! ) I think that I have a problem of regulation of the dimensions of my screen. (I have a new computer since a few month!) For the moment, I play in full screen and I'm used of.
As you said, it's a month old and forgotten now. Thanks for your advises \:\)
Ps: Lailai, what that means "reamber"? I don't find it.

In the future if you need to backup and recover your game files you can do so by reading This Post.

I just want to note that it can be very hard to turn Full Screen back on if you set it to play in a window and then resize the window. If you click on the button you want, it won't press that one! It just won't cooperate, and you have to click all over the place to hit the button to set it right. ;\)

Unfortunately, Windows allows the resizing of the window, which will mess up the game's calibration. If you do find yourself in that situation, the easiest thing to do is click the 'X' in the upper right corner of the window to quit the game. When you launch it again, it will be correct, and you can easily set it to full screen again, if you like.
