I don't think this is normal but I currently have a village with 23 people, only six of them are female and of those six, three are elderly, one is getting very close to elderly and the other two are age 3.

Is my village destined to die out due to lack of breeding stock?

It probably won't die out because you've got two girls who will be able to have babies in fifteen years' time. It might take a while to build up the population figures, though ...

I'd get the who isn't 50 yet pregnant. Who knows you could get lucky and she will have female twins or triplets.

I did get the one that was not yet 50 pregnant. She had a boy.

Once your two kids get old enough, breed them like crazy. It's odd that you have an imbalance that huge.

This kind of thing happened to me on my vv1 game, but i managed to breed breed breed and get my population back up

I had the same problem but I managed to breed fairly well I never had that problem in VV1 but in VV2 I had 3 tribes like this.

No worries, Darinthal. It's not over until it's over - that saying definately applies to VV2!

Remember, this island is veeeerrrry unusual. You can never tell what might happen... My own village was in a similar situation, and then it wasn't.
