A couple of days ago I asked what the difference between Easy and Hard mode was. Just now I found out. LOL

My Hard tribe was doing pretty well. 35,000 tech, 700 coconuts left, crops coming in regularly. All they needed was to get to 90,000 tech so they could get unlimited fishing.

An event wiped out all their food. That was so not in the plan.

With 97 food left, no coconuts, a population of 8, and 58 minutes before next crops, I think they better start prayin' to those island gods....

Oh, and forget mushrooms. I only have one kid, and she HATES RUNNING! So far she hasn't actually managed to collect anything. This tribe is doomed!

When that happens to me, I close the program, using the task bar. I then open the game again, which gives me another event. Hope that helps.

What's the point of playing the game if you don't want to accept what the game gives you, good or bad? If you cherrypick your events so you only get good outcomes, why bother?

I don't mind the events. Well, not enough to try to avoid them, anyway. Besides, it was a choice event, so I couldn't have known in advance that food was going to be taken away. It could have been something good instead.

{SPOILER Highlight blank space} some events are lose/lose like the savage boy, and some are win/win (one with a better outcome of course) like the child protegy. Highlight the space in between this and the beginning to read the SPOILER.

Ahh jazzo, either you forgot to put a spoiler in to highlight, or was your "some events are loss/loss" comment the spoiler, in that case, you didnt get the hide color right.

If you forgot to put somthing in as a spoiler, whoops. ;\)

My villagers survived despite spending half an hour with no food. Unfortunately they keep running out of food shortly before the crops come in. It's happened three times now. I guess they'll be okay, but they still need 30,000 tech points, so it's going to continue to be a struggle.

They got 30 coconuts at the same time as the crops came in. Does that mean the coconuts are on the same cycle as crops, or was it a coincidence?
