Okay, so I just discovered that nursing mothers can keep building skills.

Is this intentional, or have I discovered a glitch?

I currently have four nursing mothers, and all of them have just becomes Adept Builders or are close to becoming Adept. They started out with nothing. One had a little bit, but wasn't a Trainee yet.

Is this a feature or a glitch? If it's a glitch, it's a great one! They used to be completely useless in VV: A New Home, but I bet with several pregnancies I can get them to Master status! No more wasting time while they just sit there doing nothing! I hope it doesn't get fixed in a patch.

I've also just discovered that stew can be made quickly by using four villagers at once. Why have I been doing it the slow way (using just one) all this time....

Oh, and is there an actual difference between Easy and Hard mode? I started one tribe on Easy and one on Hard, and haven't seen any difference except that the Hard tribe got more little kids than the Easy tribe. Is that all?

I tried using several villagers at once on the stew but it didn't work for me. After all 3 had put their herb in it said "one more herb needed".

It seems to work for me. I have one put the cauldron on the fire, then send him for water. At the same time I send three for the herbs. Then when all of that's been done, one more goes for food.

Maybe it's because the stew uses just one herb instead of a combo of different herbs?

sometimes they get side tracked on their way to put the herb in the stew (especially by someone with their parenting skills checked

keep an eye out for that

Interesting. I knew about the stew, of course, but not that it worked on nursing mothers as well. I'd say this is a feature, rather than a glitch. Arthur may not have specifically meant for them to be able to gain skills in this way; similarly, he may not have intended kids to do the same. However, I'd imagine he didn't specifically mean them to be completely unable to gain skills while nursing. It's a by-product of allowing nursing mothers and kids to eat stews.

Yes, the nursing mothers can eat the Exercise Stew and run around with the babies, gaining skill in building. And it's so fun to watch them run around with baby in arms. Until the sewing hut is built.....

and I always use 4 villagers to make the stew.

You can feed the children as well. I've had them dancing, excersing going to the toilet and running for a drink. I'd sit here for ages laughing my head off. My husband thinks i'm crazy.

It took me a while to realize the children could become Apprentice Builders as well with the stew. I had tried it but didn't see any results, so I thought they couldn't. That just shows you need more patience in this game.
