Thanks, I do feel welcome. But I have a question and I'm not sure where to go for info. How do you "unweaken" a villager he's 42 and a master researcher, he's only fathered one child (but had to try like 15 times before he got it right)?

You are correct, VV:ANH has NO stew, so he will have to let him heal himself. Training him to be a doc would be good, or just move him to farming. He can still get injured while farming, but it will not happen very often.

Two ways: 1. Have him/her heal villagers when they become sick, and 2. Make them study any of the herbs.

also, if you "hand feed" the villager you can get ticks back on his health bar, but it takes a lot of time, and a lot of feedings - although it is useful in emergency type situations
also, as VI said, move him to farming where he cannot injure himself as often - after a while he will naturally begin feeling better!

thanks guys. he's in farming, or at least he was when i left to take out the dog (who was cross legged by the door waiting) now he's back to research. so i should just keep making him study the herbs even though it eventually says that they understand this herb? can't wait. i can just here him now...nope..uh-huh...tfb baby, now study

LOL, yeah you just need to keep dragging him back. If farming is marked, he will do that mostly, but they do have a mind of thir own, so they will do other work they know how to do from time to time.

yeah, my little "los" is a master researched, adept builder, trainee farmer and now trainee doctor. xcept he keeps wanting to plant crops when it's 2 minutes til new crops. my little farmers are impressive though. no master yet, but then know enough to water the new crops and then start harvesting them once they're ready. i'm proud of them. and my "hoochimama" is great at her job too. can you guess which one that is? lol. i have healing marked now. oh and a duh - doctor..healing..having a blonde moment. and i'm brunette.
