My parent women go looking for a man when the baby is weaned, and they all pick the same man! He doesn't seem all that attractive to me (but I'm not a villager...). I gave him some nice clothes, but he is rather small with a terrible haircut. The only thing "different" about him is he dislikes work.

LOL, you know women are always attracted to outlaws. You know the type, don't work but just play all day.

He's an Adept Doctor and an Adept Farmer, age 51. Only once did he ever choose a woman, the rest of the time they have chosen him.

I think it is because he is so friendly and never rejects anyone. Even the 70-year old women get a nice trip indoors. Indeed, sometimes there are two or more women in the hut with him. They embrace him when he is already on his way indoors!

It really doesn't matter what his skills are. The game determines who the alpha male and alpha female are at any point in time, and that's who all of the other villagers will choose to interact with (telling jokes, complaining, breeding, etc.). It does make for some funny stories, though.

While I'm building up the village it is dangerous because of the risk of overpopulation, but when I'm at the max population I'll set the alpha male to parenting. I figure that if all the girls want to kiss him and make him the father of their kids, he might as well have some fun kissing the girls as well. The alpha male doesn't get any other work done, anyway.
