I'm having two problems currently:

1) My builders won't simply won't build. I've set all of my villagers to prefer building and they're all clearing the creek instead. I keep dragging all of them to spots where huts are supposed to be built and they stand there doing nothing. I have a level 2 construction and two adept builders and the rest are trainee (5 total)

2) My villagers have had four children so far and they've all been boys. I'm afraid to keep breeding for fear of getting more boys that will keep eating and taking up space for the huts (since I can't seem to build more right now,) but I'm going to need some girls soon so that I can have more children later. I currently have only two women and they're both getting a little long in the tooth.

I don't know if there are any solutions to these, but at least I got to vent. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

First, remember that clearing the creek is part of the "building" class. So they are doing what you are telling them to.

Second, has construction of the hut been started? You are only able to build huts when your population gets to a certain amount. So if your population is not over the required level for your next hut, you are not able to build it.

As to your second question, it seems to be like real life. You can get 6 boys (or girls) in a roll before you get a girl, or sometimes you'll get nothing but girls for awhile, but most of the time it averages out.

That will work, but be careful not grow your population over your current food source(s).
