Hi, I'm newbie and so far increased my population to 47, including 7 women (only and all of my full women villagers) nursing.
My ratio from 2nd generation is 10 boys to 21 girls.

It's pot luck really, I've been lucky. But when I started one game I had only one woman to breed with. But the youngest child was a girl, and the woman had a baby girl as well. So that set the ball rolling.
